Description
Decking drill jig – ensures perfect 5 mm spacing between boards and dead-straight rows of screws, every time. Choose the right width for your boards: 120, 125 or 140 mm. Each pack contains 3 jigs, so you can use several at once and work faster.
The jig follows industry-standard recommendations with screws placed 20 mm from the edge – the distance that protects the wood's strength and prevents the board from splitting.
Choose the width that fits your boards
- 120 mm – e.g. 28×120 mm boards (hole spacing 80 mm)
- 125 mm – e.g. 32×125 mm boards (hole spacing 85 mm)
- 140 mm – e.g. 28×140 mm boards (hole spacing 100 mm)
Each jig has its size engraved on the surface, so you can quickly identify the right one.
Why use a drill jig?
When laying a wooden deck, two things define the finished result: consistent spacing between boards and straight rows of screws. Without a jig, you have to measure every single screw position by hand – it takes time, and even small inaccuracies become visible across a long deck. With this drill jig, you save hours of measuring and get a professional result on the first try.
How it works
- Lay the first decking board in place
- Place the jig on the new board with the spacer tab dropped into the gap next to the previously laid board
- The jig automatically holds the precise 5 mm spacing
- Drill through the two marked holes – screws now sit exactly 20 mm from each edge
- Move the jig to the next joist and repeat
Tip: Use 2-3 jigs simultaneously – distributed along the board's length – to make sure the board is 100% parallel while you drill. That's why you get 3 in the pack.

FAQ
Which width should I choose?
Measure the width of your decking boards. The most common European sizes are 120, 125 and 140 mm.
How many jigs should I use at once?
We recommend 2-3 jigs at the same time, distributed along the length of the board – that's why you get 3 per pack.
What if my boards are a different width?
The jigs are optimised for 120/125/140 mm, the most common standards. Contact us if you need a custom size.
Can I use it with hidden fasteners?
No, this jig is designed for visible screws (top-fix mounting). For hidden fasteners you need a different solution.
